Village Day

10:00 AM - Begin your day with brunch at Vevo café – with Ukulele maestro Steve Moase.

12:00 PM - From midday a variety of great family friendly entertainment: 
Join the Super Hero second Line marching brass band at midday, New Orleans style! As they proceed from Titirangi Primary school to the Village square. They will be joined by an assortment of musicians from local schools. Open to everyone.

1:00 PM - Kimata’s drumming workshop

2:00 PM - Township Kwelas perform South African street music.

3:00 PM - Village Square. Festus McBoyle the terrible pirate will crash the party at 3pm – great for kids! Festival favourites Mhara Marimbas appear at 3:30.

1:00 PM - ART TRAIL - TFM partner with Te Uru Gallery and ‘Artatwork’ to bring you the Art Trail from 1pm - 4pm featuring a great range of activities all with a musical twist. Follow the trail to create a ‘living instrument’, make a Peace Poppy, make a 'junk instrument', or join the Glow in the dark Dance workshop in the theatre foyer. This will run from 1pm - 5pm.

The Bean Bag stage will also be running in the theatre from 1pm, hosted by Rachel Derham with a range of family entertainment and a special concert appearance from ‘Festus McBoyle’ the terrible pirate, at around 4pm.

4:00 PM - A great local DJ wraps up the proceedings.

Whilst milling around the village make sure you stop by the Local Soundz Stage and listen to our best High school Jazz and Rock musicians, with students from Avondale College and Greenbay High.
